Local environmental groups are suing the EPA for removing federal Clean Water Act protections of the Cargill salt ponds in Redwood City and thereby opening the door to development of the site... The joint lawsuit was filed Tuesday by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra along with San Francisco Baykeeper, Save the Bay, Committee for Green Foothills and Citizens Committee to Complete the Refuge.
