Every year, Obsidian Wine Company crafts a special pinot noir rosé in honor of San Francisco Bay—Rosé for the Bay.
The grapes are fittingly grown in a foggy wetland location of Obsidian’s vineyard and give extra quality and a Bay character to this special rosé.
Plus, 100% of proceeds from Rosé for the Bay goes to Baykeeper—a perfect opportunity to drink wine and do good at the same time!
The 2020 vintage is now available for purchase online (In checkout, look for "How did you hear about us?" and select "SF Baykeeper"), as well as from select wine merchants. The new 2020 rosé boasts bright aromas of ripe strawberries, melon and tangerine. The flavors translate seamlessly on the palate with a bump of key lime that reflects the underlying vein of acidity. The brightness strikes a delightful balance with the creaminess of sweet fruit.
Peter Molnar, Co-Founder of Obsidian Wine Co., is a member of Baykeeper’s Board of Directors and a lifelong sailor and Bay swimmer who is passionate about supporting the Bay and our work. “We hope to continue to farm beside a rich, vibrant, and healthy San Francisco Bay. Baykeeper has tirelessly defended the Bay from pollution and fought to restore its health, and that’s why we have dedicated this wine to Baykeeper,” Peter says.
