“There’s this myth out there that there is surplus water that could be diverted when it’s wet and there’s plenty of water in the ecosystem, that it doesn’t get used or brings no benefit,” said Baykeeper science director Jon Rosenfield. “And that’s just simply not true. The white sturgeon are the poster child for the need for big river flows.”
