Background
The goal of the Delta Conveyance Project is to remove significantly more water from the Bay watershed and send it south for the benefit of a small group of megafarms and powerful water agencies. The additional diversion of water would harm communities who depend on a healthy Bay, coastal fishing, and Tribal cultures, while accelerating the extinction of native fish.
If enacted, these trailer bills would also sideline public input and raise water rates for taxpayers and ratepayers.
