Protect SF Bay for Earth Day

Thank you for volunteering with San Francisco Baykeeper! We’re excited to host you for our Earth Day Volunteer Event on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Please review the event details below and then click the “Register Now” button to complete your signup for the event.

Since 1989, San Francisco Baykeeper has been defending the Bay from the biggest threats and holding polluters accountable. We use science, law, advocacy, and boat patrols to investigate pollution and stop problems at the source. And we’ve been winning effective solutions that have measurably helped the Bay for over 35 years.

At our 2026 Earth Day Volunteer Event, you’re invited to:

  • Conduct hands-on water quality sampling, led by Baykeeper science staff, to learn about the impacts of shoreline restoration projects on nutrient levels in San Francisco Bay.
  • Track the impact of single-use plastic pollution on Bay shorelines and clean up trash and microplastics that harm wildlife.
