Speak Out to Protect Our Coastal Habitats

ca_coastFish and Game Commission Public Hearing
Thursday, May 14, 9 a.m.
Sacramento, CA

On Thursday, the California Fish and Game Commission will make a final decision on establishing a network of marine protected areas along the North Central coast of California between Mendocino and San Mateo Counties. These underwater wilderness areas will help our stressed coastal ecosystems to recover and thrive, but opponents are urging the Commission to weaken protections for these areas. We need you to join Baykeeper staff in speaking out to support strong protections for California's coastal wildlife and habitats. The Commission will soon begin the process of setting protections for San Francisco Bay, and weak provisions for the North Central Coast could set a precedent for less protection of the Bay – so it's vital that we speak out now.

Carpools from the Bay Area are available. Click here for details and to RSVP.
