The heavy storms that washed away California’s drought this season have come with a side effect: large slugs of pollution and sewage washing into San Francisco Bay and the Delta... “The storms absolutely are a time of high pollution into the bay,” said Ian Wren, a staff scientist at San Francisco Baykeeper, an environmental group. “I think the sewage brings the pathogens that are the most risk to people.”
