The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sent San Francisco a notice of violation today accusing its water utility of violating Clean Water Act standards... "We think that the letter identifies some valid concerns about sewage overflows in the city, and those sewage overflows do pose a health concern," said Sejal Choksi-Chugh, executive director of San Francisco Baykeeper. "The timing of this definitely seems politically motivated and some of the language in the letter also seems a little bit politically motivated. It just seems like EPA is continuing to be used as a pawn in Trump's fight against San Francisco."
