In April, we launched the Healthy Bay Challenge—a virtual sporting event to keep our supporters sweaty and connected for a healthy San Francisco Bay. Over the last few months, participants all over the Bay Area hiked, biked, ran, swam, and yoga-d, logging 2,000 workouts and virtually cheering each other on along the way.
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who joined the Healthy Bay Challenge! We’re so proud to host you all for this fun, energetic event.
And a big virtual cheer for the victorious South End Rowing Club team who logged the most workouts!
One South Ender in particular went above and beyond. On June 14, Erika Gliebe (pictured) swam a very challenging 10-mile loop around Angel Island and broke the women’s record! She also raised over $4,700 for Baykeeper in honor of her swim. Congratulations, Erika, and thank you for the wonderful support!
Thanks again to all of our Healthy Bay Challenge participants!
