San Francisco Bay: California and environmental groups sue Trump administration to block Cargill development

A major legal battle is looming over a Silicon Valley site where a developer had proposed building the largest housing development on San Francisco Bay’s shoreline in half a century, the Cargill Salt property in Redwood City... The groups — Save the Bay, Committee for Green Foothills, San Francisco Baykeeper and Citizens’ Committee to Complete the Refuge — have enlisted dozens of local elected officials and actor Robert Redford in their cause. They filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in San Francisco.
