"We discovered based on a government study, that vessels were putting about 20 tons of pollution into the bay," Sejal Choksi-Chugh, executive director of BayKeeper, told NBC News in 2015. "The Ghost Fleet of Suisun Bay was pretty much an iconic tourist attraction. It's too bad they were heavily polluting our San Francisco Bay."
