An oil spill at the Chevron refinery in Richmond this week did not pose any immediate threats to Marin County’s shoreline or wildlife, officials said Wednesday. The spill was reported just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday after a pipeline leak at the refinery’s wharf near Point Richmond. An estimated 500 to 750 gallons of a mixture of low-sulfur diesel fuel and water spilled into the bay waters until the leak was stopped at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
