Regarding “Anchored in the bay and not going away” (Page 1, March 3): It’s disappointing that this vessel has been illegally moored for months in San Francisco’s iconic swimming cove, flouting the law and discharging human waste that endangers people and wildlife... The Coast Guard recently convened a work group with Baykeeper, state and local agencies and recreational boating groups. We are taking lessons from Washington and Oregon and are exploring legislative and funding solutions. One day soon, agencies will have more tools to remove boats like this quickly before they hurt swimmers or pollute our beautiful bay.
