Baykeeper uses science, on-the-water patrols, and the law to hold polluters accountable. We’ve won over 280 legal victories to stop pollution across the Bay, reduced sewage spills by 75% from 10 Bay Area cities, passed new state laws to keep oil spills and other fossil fuels out of the watershed, and strengthened the regulation of contaminants like mercury and lead to protect both people and wildlife.
