Let's go for a swim!

SACRAMENTO, CA - A 100-mile relay swim to promote awareness of water pollution kicked off in the Sacramento River on Friday in a three-day quest to swim to the San Francisco Bay.
"What unites us was a commitment to the bay, the delta and the bay and the importance of clean water," said Jeff Russell, one of two boat captains accompanying the swimmers. "Everyone on the team is an experienced, accomplished swimmer and we all appreciate the important of clean water out here because everything starts here from the mountains going to the bay and ocean."
Seven swimmers are participating, along with the boat captains of a 35-foot sailboat and one kayaker. The jump-off point Friday was Miller Park off Broadway on the Sacramento River...
